The decision to move to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is not one to be taken lightly; it is a big move to a country very different from the UK.
There are a many different visa types for temporary and permanent residence in the UAE. We've outlined a few of these visas below in simplified format, and this list is by no means exhaustive.

Rules for visas and working in the UAE
Your first step is to secure a residential permit, and then your employer can apply for a labour card which allows you to work in the UAE. The residential permit can only be obtained when someone in the UAE legally sponsors you - usually your employer, although relatives living in the UAE are also eligible to sponsor you.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs issue your labour card for an initial period of 30 days once you have shown them proof of employment. The company that employs you will then process all formalities required for obtaining your work permit. You cannot leave the company that sponsored your visa for another company without their permission and the new company re-processing your visa.

In the current times you might prefer that we don't visit your house in person to carry out a survey. This is fully understandable and we can just as easily undertake the survey by video call, using whatever method you're comfortable with, usually FaceTime or WhatsApp.
