UK and International Removals & Storage since 1884
Britannia Bradshaw International Removals supports Prevent Breast Cancer (formerly Genesis) charity
At Britannia Bradshaw, we've supported various charities throughout the years, and our employees have always given generously and participated in various events to raise money for different causes.
2013 marked the 30 year anniversary of our 130 year old company being under the same leadership. Our Chairman Malcolm Halley purchased the company in 1983, and as a part of our 30 year celebration we chose to support a charity on a long term basis.
Our chosen charity is Prevent Breast Cancer (formerly known as Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention, registered charity number 1109839), which is the UK's only charity devoted to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer.
Please read our press release, which tells the story of how and why we became involved with Prevent.
Fundraising for Prevent
We'll be taking our pink trucks to events around the country, in addition to participating in fundraising activity for Prevent.
Our Britannia Bradshaw International Removals & Storage pink Genesis truck has appeared at the Lymm Festival in June 2013, and the Altrincham Festival in July 2013, along with other events and festivals.
We have participated in Genesis' Take on the Tutu challenge in October 2015, wearing tutus at work and holding a BBQ, raising £1041.72 for the charity.
Director Rod Seeland has run the Manchester Great Bupa Run on behalf of the charity, raising nearly £800.
Our Chairman, Malcolm Halley, embarked on a bicycle journey from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Genesis, and kept a blog about his journey. He was accompanied by Removals & Storage Manager, Ernie Humphries. You can read about their journey and donate to their effort.
We've also participated in Christmas sing alongs, bag packing, tea parties, the Genesis ball and other events to help them raise much-needed funds.
