Britannia Bradshaw International Removals & Storage has been moving people since 1884, and we know that occasionally accidents can happen. We offer a variety of insurance packages to suit your removal and storage requirements.
Of course, we do everything we can to avoid a situation where you'd need to claim, including using the latest packing and loading techniques. But we're all human, and occasionally accidents can happen.
In addition to removals insurance to protect your home and items against damage during your move, as well as insurance to help with delays or changes to the date of your move, we also offer specialist international removal insurance.
Please ask about your insurance options when you speak with our representative. They will be glad to review the features and specifics of each type of insurance available to you.
Marine insurance
Moving overseas is inherently more risky than moving within the UK. There are many factors outside our control including difficult sea crossings due to bad weather and customs inspections resulting in your items being handled by untrained staff. We believe marine insurance to be an essential part of your move.
To provide you with the best possible cover, our surveyor will discuss and leave a marine insurance pack at the time of the survey. This will outline the insurances available.
To arrange cover the marine insurance proposal should be completed and returned prior to packing. Should you decline our offer of insurance please provide a copy of the insurance certificate of the cover that you have arranged.

How are our appointments carried out
In the current times you might prefer that we don't visit your house in person to carry out a survey. This is fully understandable and we can just as easily undertake the survey by video call, using whatever method you're comfortable with, usually FaceTime or WhatsApp.

It was not straight forward, it cost more than it could and should due to circumstances outside of everyone's control but we got there in the end and the physical move of items was the easiest part in fairness.
